Wild Camp, Codale Tarn from Grasmere

After a stormy nigh on Red Pike I was hoping for a quiter night at Codale Tarn. I set off from Grasmere at around 4pm for a leisurely walk up to Easedale Tarn and then on to Codale Tarn.

Managed to find the last parking spot in Buttermere on this bank holiday weekend and set off for Great Bornr and the High Stile Ridge.

From The Old Corpse Road I climbed to Selside, Branstree onto Harter Fell in a blizzard and High street before descending via Riggindale Crag.

From the car park above Talybont reservoir I did a circular walk including a very busy Pen y Fan and all it's adjoining peaks.
