North Wales, Creigiau Gleision, Craig Wen, Crimpiau from Llyn Crafnant.

Parked at Llyn Crafnant located just to the north of Capel Curig I headed up through the plantation towards Creigiau Gleision and then carried on to see how far I would get in my allotted time span.

4 1/2 hrs.

Llyn Crafnant.
Parking area just below Llyn Crafnant  with toilet facilities and free.

After walking alongside the lake for a while a track takes you up into the plantation to join a public footpath.
Emerging from the plantation.
First view of Llyn Cowlyd Reservoir.
 Looking towards Conway valley.
Heading along Creigiau Gleision.
Looking over to Pen Llithrig y Wrach.
Looking back over Creigiau Gleision.
Moel Siabod in the clouds.
Looking over to Crimpiau from Craig Wen.
Looking back to Craig Wen.
On the slopes of Crimpiau I encounted a small heard of wild ponies, fortunately these survived the harsh winter but many didn't sadly.
Looking back up towards Creigiau Gleision before descending to Llyn Crafnant.
Back at Llyn Crafnant, Crimpiau is the hill straight aheadin the distance.
