First time in Galloway Forest Park so opted for Merrick from Glentrool.

Bruce's Stone near the start of the walk.

Start point.

A gentle ascent through the forest....

Leads to Culsharg Bothy.

Passed the Bothy and the path steepens through more forest until this...

Benyellary summit 719m.
