North Wales, Snowdon via South Ridge.

Snowdon via south ridge returning via the old copper mine below Y Lliwedd.

7 1/2 hours.

No trains Today.
Cafe is closed as well.
Leaving the Watkin Path heading for the South Ridge.
On the ridge, easy scrambling, nothing difficult.
Looking across to Yr Aran.
Left to right is Moel Ddu, Moel Hebog, Moel yr Ogof & Moel Lefn.
Summit station in view, snow is new and soft.
Quietest I've seen it.
On my way to Y Llewidd looking back at the Watkin Path.
Llyn Llydaw.
Yr Aran and Moel Hebog behind.
Snowdon from Y Lliwedd.
From Y Lliwedd I descended to the old copper mine below following an old seam down to the ruined buildings.
An old miners track heads off to the right leading you back to the Watkin Path.
Yr Aran as the sun sets.
