A trip into the northern Carneddau from Abergwyngregyn in search of solitude and wild horses, I found both.

Lake District, Thornthwaite Beacon, High Street, The knott & Angle Tarn from Hartsop.

From the car park at Brothers Water I headed up through Hartsop for a wander amongst the fells surrounding Hayeswater.

5 1/2 hrs.

Angle Tarn.

Off we go.

Lake District, Grasmoor, Crag Hill, Causey Pike, Ard Crags from Buttermere.

A trip up to Grasmoor and then a wander over the tops to see where the wind took me.
