Lake District, Walna Scar Road, Brown Pike, Dow Crag, The Old Man of Coniston.

4hrs

From the free parking area at Walna Scar Road above Coniston I headed off up Walna Scar Road with the weather looking a lot brighter than yesterday with the objectives being Dow Crag and the Old Man.

Parking area.
Walna Scar Road.

Looking back towards Coniston Water.
The small shelter.
And the view from inside.
On the way up to Brown Pike with Walna Scar beyond the crossroads.
Brown Pike summit and shelter.
Blind Tarn.
Goat's Water with Dow Crag to the right.
The Old Man of Coniston Summit in the mist.
And Trig.
From here on it became very busy with people coming up the popular route up after not having seen a single soul up until now.
Low Water.
And again with Levers Water behind.
People on their way up.
Low Water Quarries.
Looking across to Wetherlam.
More quarry buildings.
Brim Fell and outflow from Low Water.
Bridge and path leading to Levers Water and beyond.
The last stretch of path before the parking area.
Jubbly.
