Peak District, Kinder Scout from Edale.

A trip to Kinder Downfall today via Grinds Brook returning over the very wet plateau.

6 1/2 hrs

Edale Church shortly after leaving the car park.
On my way up Grinds Brook.
Waterfall.
Looking back down Grinds Brook.
Looking back towards The Woolpacks.
Kinder Reservoir and Mermaid's Pool.
Kinder Downfall.
And the usual crowds.
My journey across the plateau now starts, Kinder gates.
A couple of cairns later and I was up on the bog picking my way through, carefully.
Lot's of these dams up here now designed to stop peat erosion.
Highest point or is it over there?
Weaving my way between the peat hags down towards Crowden Brook.
Looking over to The Great Ridge from Grindslow Knoll, Mam Tor on the right to Lose hill on the left, win Hill is far left in the distance.
On my way to Ringing Roger.
Looking back up to Ringing Roger on my way back down to Edale.
The sun sets on the Vale of Edale.
