Lake District, Langdale Pikes

6 1/2 Hours.
Set off from The NT Car Park at 11am after a tortuous 4 hour journey up from Sheffield and headed up towards Stickle Tarn.
It was a glorious day in the valley.

And very busy.
Stickle Tarn
And the obligatory crowd...
And a lone camera shy walker...
Pavey Ark.
Stickle Tarn from half way up Pavey Arc.
And from the top looking towards Windermere.
From the edge...
I then decided to have a wander over to High Raise along this path as the weather changed and the hail started.
High Raise.
Glad I wasn't over there.
Looking towards Grasmere.
Back at the Langdale Pikes looking at one of the stickles.
Pavey Ark from Harrison Stickle.
From one Stickle to another.
Looking up towards the mighty Bowfell.
After the Langdale Pikes I headed off towards the path that leads down Langdale Combe via Martcrag Moor and is part of the Cumbrian way.
Martcrag Moor.
And the path down.
And down.
Last view of the Langdale Pikes from Mickleden before heading back to the car and then on to Penrith for the night.
 And beer :)
