Decided to include Y Garn in my foray onto the Glyders. should have really gone up via the east ridge of Y Garn but as the weather wasn't too good I opted to ascend via The Devil's Kitchen as I had done this before.
Y Garn from Glyder Fawr.
The bridge and path up to Llyn Idwal.
A moody looking Devil's Kitchen.
On my ascent of the Devil's Kitchen and about to go into the clag.
A right turn at the top of the Devil's Kitchen takes me onto the ridge of Y Garn with not a lot to see.
Summit shelter, Y Garn. Bet the weather clears on the way down.
There we go.
I then headed for the path to the left of the small Llyn up on to the scree slopes of Glyder Fawr.
Up there...
A view down the scree.
On the top of Glyder Fawr, not of this world surely.
Llyn Idwal with the weather holding.
Approaching the Castle of the Winds.
From the other side.
Tryfan from Glyder Fach.
The Cantilever Stone.
From Glyder Fach I then decided to head down towards the miner's track which would take me to the base of Bristly ridge and Tryfan's South Butress.
Tryfan from near the top of the Miner's Track and it's raining again.
Glyder Fach.
Down the miners track and down the path to Llyn Idwal.
Y Garn from the path down.
Plenty of water coming off the hills.
Back at the bridge I crossed about 7 hours earlier to end the days walk.
And then back to the campsite at NantGwynant.
Hello there Mcundy. I noticed some of your Glyder images on Google, and wondered something. I'm making an indie film with some friends, and am contacting you to ask if it would be possible to use your image 14 as a template , then add in some matte painted elements like a fortress centre? I'm in the UK, by the way.
