Yorkshire Dales, Ingleborough From Clapham

Ingleborough from Clapham again today in very snowy weather with the summit plateau being very cold and windy indeed.

51/2 hrs

Cold is not the word for Ingleborough summit today.
Below the snow line at the bridge over Clapham beck.
Just above Trow Gill and on the white stuff.
At Gaping Gill.
Ingleborough is up there somewhere.
A frozen information board just below the summit plateau.
The summit shelter to ourselves, a rare event.
Frozen packs.
Brrrrrrrr.
The wind chill was brutal so a quick descent was called for and after a couple of errors we managed to find the correct path down, quite an achievement in todays conditions.
Looking back up to Ingleborough from near Nick Pot.
We go right.
Trow Gill from Long Scar.
At The lake on the Ingleborough estate and out of the snow..
A quick visit to the church of St James in Clapham before heading for a drink.
At the New Inn Clapham
