Lake District, The Old Man of Coniston & GoldScope Quarries at Blind Tarn.

Early start up The Old Man from Walna Scar car park then over to Dow Crag and down to Blind Tarn to have a look at the old quarries there.

4 hrs.

Old Man Summit.
On the track to The Old Man and already it's busy.
Quarry ruins you pass through on the path up.

Looking back to the summit of The Old Man.
On Dow Crag heading towards Buck Pike.
Blind Tarn and Gold Scope Quarry Ruins below Brown Pike.
Down at the quarry.

    Sadly I've not visited the Coniston Fells yet, I've been climbing the Wainwrights for a few years, and I moved to the Lakes in February but still not explored the Coniston range. Maybe a plan for winter me thinks :)
