North Wales, Aran Fawddwy from Cwm Cywarch.

Aran Fawddwy from Cwm Cywarch aborting just below the summit due to a pack of hunting dogs.

6hrs.

Creiglyn Dyfi below the crags of Aran Fawddwy.
Parking at CwmCywarch.

The path is well signed to get you passed the farm buildings and on your way up the steep climb.
Looking back down the valley.
The route up.
Looking over to Pen yr Allt uchaf.
Another sign at the top.
Looking Northeast.
Aran Fawddwy ahead with duck boards easing the way over the peat bogs.
View south.
Further on from where this photo was taken about 150m below the summit I decided to turn back as a pack of hunting dogs had claimed the summit and as the mist had closed in I didn't see much point in taking the risk.
Memorial on Drysgol.
Looking back up the long slope to Drysgol, I could still here the dogs from here.
The route back down to the car with the weather closing in.
Looking across to where I made my ascent earlier in the day.
The path pops you out on the single track road about 50m from the parking area.
