Yorkshire Dales, Buckden Pike & Moss Top from Buckden.

A brief pause in the downpours of the winter allowed for a trip into the Dales and an ascent of Buckden Pike and then over to Moss top before descending back into Buckden.

6 1/2 hrs.

Parking in Buckden.
We were to head up the scar towards the ruins of Buckden Lead Mine.
Looking back towards Buckden.
At the ruins of the lead mine.
Buckden Pike summit in the mist.
Looking back up to Buckden Pike after descending to Cray.
Looking down Wharfedale from near Cray.
Arriving at Yokenthwaite.
Leaving Yokenthwaite on the way up to Moss Top.
On Moss Top.
Looking over to Pen-y- Ghent and Plover Hill.
One of these is Birks Tarn, just not sure which one as there has been so much rain of late.
The descent back down to Buckden with Buckden Pike behind.
Time for a swift pint in the Buck Inn before heading off home.
