North Wales, Moel Hebog & Moel yr Ogof from Beddgelert

Moel Hebog & Moel yr Ogof from Beddgelert.

6 1/2 hrs

Moel Hebog
Parking in Beddgelert P&D and very reasonable.
A quick look at the station before heading up the hill.
Arriving at the snowline with Beddgelert below, Llyn Dinas center with Moel Siabod behind.
Cnicht across the valley.
Nantle ridge from the slopes of Moel Hebog.
The route up is to the left.
Beddgelert and Llyn Dinas dow below, Craig Wen is the peak on the left.
The Irish Sea.
Nearing the summit which is actually a small plateau.
Almost there, looking back my footprints in the snow were the only ones on Moel Hebog today, just how I like it.
Summit, Moel Hebog 782m.
Moel yr Ogof is the next stop, Moel Lefn beyond.
Route up to Moel yr Ogof is through a gap in the crag.
The route from Moel Hebog to Moel yr Ogof is just a matter of following the wall, handy in mist.
On Moel yr Ogof and not liking the look of that.
Descending now into Beddgelert Forest.
At the campsite where I exit onto the road and head back into Beddgelert.
Quirky bike man in Beddgelert.
A quick look at the Church of St Mary, Beddgelert.
