Lake District, Hart Crag, Fairfield & St Sunday Crag from Brothers Water.

Hart Crag, Fairfield & St Sunday Crag from Brothers Water in a snowy Lake District with avalanche warnings.

7 1/2 hours

Looking up Kirkstone Pass from just above Low Wood not far from the parking area at Brothers Water.
Looking back along Hartsop above How.

Ahead is Hart Crag center with Fairfield to the right.
Dove Crag over on the left.
At Hart Crag looking at the Fairfield Horseshoe.
Arriving at an always busy Fairfield.
Looking over to the Helvellyn range from Fairfield.
St Sunday Crag and Cofa Pike tucked in on the left is where I'm headed next.
A frozen Grisedale Tarn.
Care needed descending a steep Cofa Pike.
Grisedale Tarn again with Seat Sandal beyond from the ascent of St Sunday Crag.
Looking back to Fairfield from St Sunday Crag.
Ullswater comes into view on the descent.
Sheffield Pike.
Place Fell and Birk Fell behind Ullswater.
Air ambulance coming in to land in Patterdale.
From Patterdale it was a flat road plod back to the car.
Back at the parking area at Brothers Water.
Fortunately no avalanches.
