Forest of Bowland, Totridge, Webster's Meadow, Langden Castle from Dunsop Bridge.

First time in the Forest of Bowland area for me, similar to the Dark Peak with it's gritstone moorland but much much quieter, we saw three people the whole day.

6 1/2 hrs.
Totridge trig (496m).
Car park at Dunsop Bridge wasn't busy.
Starting the ascent of Totridge looking back towards the farm.
From Totridge (pic above) we followed this fence across very wet and boggy moorland for approx 3 miles to Websters Meadow.
Webster's Meadow.
From here we made our descent down Fiendsdale, looking back.
Langden Castle? ruin at the foot of the valley.
View back up the valley along Langden Brook.
On the road now passing the Smelt Mill, headquarters for the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue, http://www.bowlandpenninemrt.org.uk/
Looking up to Totridge where we ascended earlier in the day.
Back in Dunsop and a quick visit to St Huberts Church.
