Hadrian's Wall, Once Brewed To Sewingshields Crags.

A short section of Hadrian's Wall today from Once Brewed over to Sewingshields Crags stopping at Housesteads Fort clicky along the way.

Sycamore Gap
Car park at once Brewed, P&D.
First glimpse of the 'wall'.
Approaching Milecastle 39, Sycamore Gap is just to the East of this.

The Pennine Way leaves the wall here shortly before Housesteads Fort.
This section of the wall is built on an undulating ridge.
You can walk on this bit.
At Housesteads Fort.
Granary.
Latrines.
Barracks.
At Sewingshields Crags.
After retracing my steps back to Once Brewed I decided to head up to the trig point on the hill to the west along the wall. Cross section below.
At the trig looking South West towards the Lake District.
A quick stop off at Cawfields and then on my way to the hotel for the night.
