North Wales, Snowdon via Watkin Path visiting Yr Aran & Craig Wen

Last day in Snowdonia so it had to be Snowdon via the Watkin Path and then onto Yr Arran and a vist to Craig Wen before returning to the car at Bethania.

8hrs

Start.
Gladstone Rock.
Quarry Barracks below Snowdon.
View down to Llyn Llydaw.
Approaching the notorious last section, just keep to the left in mist to avoid the steep scree slope that leads directly to the summit.
Summit station/cafe.
I then followed the Rhyd Ddu Path until it splits onto the South Ridge.
South Ridge with Yr Arran ahead and Craig Wen to the right.
Looking back to Snowdon from Yr Arran.
Craig Wen Ahead, Moel Hebog in the far distance.
Looking back to Yr Arran and Snowdon.
Craig Wen summit cairn.
Wild campers below Yr Arran.
Another nice spot.
Close up of the house wall used for machine gun training during WW2.
Hydro electric station on Afon Cwm Llan owned by The National Trust.
A short walk down the valley lead me back to the parking area in Bethania.
