A trip down to Minfford to climb Cadair Idris and Mynydd Moel on which turned out to be another scorching hot day.

Cadair Idris is to the right.
The car park at Minfford takes you directly to the path for Cadair Idris.

The initial ascent up through the woods is very steep but levels out up towards Llyn Cau.

The clouds are starting to clear over Cadair Idris towards mid afternoon.

Last look up to the mountain before joining the origional ascent path back to the car park.
Then light refreshments at The Pen-y-Bont Hotel on the shores of Tal-y-Llyn.
