7 Hours.
First time on the Carnedds away from the crowds that frequent the Glyders and Tryfan.
Pen Yr Ole Wen from Tryfan.
About 50 meters up the road starts the path that takes you abruptly up Pen Yr Ole Wen.
Looking across to a very moody Devil's Kitchen.
These were the only people that I saw the whole day it was that quiet and they only saw one other person.
The path goes up there then....
From here the weather deteriorated slightly and visibility was much reduced.
Shelter on the summit of Pen Yr Ole Wen.
Another couple of shelters were passed until this one appeared at Carnedd Daffydd.
With the weather not looking like it was going to improve I decided to retrace my steps and head down the ridge East of Pen Yr Ole Wen towards Bryn Moar, down there...
Further down the ridge. On the hills opposite is where I saw wild ponies but were too far away for a picture.
Tryfan looking good, over the valley.
Nice rock.
Bryn Mawr.
Looking down the valley towards Capel Curig, as can be seen the weather had improved.
Tryfan and the Glyders behind.
From here it was the path down to Lyn Ogwen.
Looking back up to Bryn Mawr.
And along the path on the north shore back to the car park, Y Garn in the back ground.
Good innit.
