Lake District, Dove crag to Red Screes from Brothers Water.

From Brothers Water at the bottom of Kirkstone Pass I took the path up to Dove Crag and then over to Red Screes, down to the Kirkstone Pass Inn and then down the Pass back to Brothers Water.

6 hrs.
Leaving the parking area at Brothers Water.
Brothers Water and Hartstop Dodd.
Sykeside Campsite.
On the way up to Dove Crag looking back dawn the path.
Views from the tops don't look promising.
Steep bit.
Looking down the steep bit, note the ruin, someone lived here?
Cairn and a dog near Dove Crag.
About a third of a mile from Dove Crag I head left at this old fence marker, map reading essential here.
I followed the path for about a mile and a half to this stile which is a cross roads, my way up to Red Screes is straight on and up.
Red Screes trig.
From here I headed down the steep descent to the Kirkstone Pass Inn.
Pushed for time I could only pause for a photograph before heading down the Pass back to Brothers Water, perhaps another time.
Back down in the valley with the tops still in clag.
Middle Dodd.
Back at Brothers Water with the light fading fast.
